She also recorded the track, "I can't hear you no more" originally recorded by Betty Everett, written by the excellent Larry Goffin & Carol King. Natural Four recorded on Curtom records, this was a song they made earlier in their career on the brilliantly named Boola Boola records.

After the Stairsteps disbanded, Keni remained with Dark Horse as a solo artist. His self-produced debut solo LP, Keni Burke, was released in August 1977. The singles were "Keep on Singing" and "From Me to You," an instrumental answer to "From Us to You.", becoming an in-demand session bass player, he can be heard on everyone from Sly & the Family Stone, Natalie Cole, Billy Preston.

5.     Merry Clayton - Southern Man
Merry Clayton first recorded the Shoop Shoop Song later released by Betty Everett, this was a soul classic by her with no less that The Dells on backing vocals....

Another well covered Betty song, "You're no good",  This version with Linda Rondstadt - great intro from Jose Feliciano - and a crackin break at about 1.46 with a great guitar solo
